Hands down, the best pizza I've ever had. First, the restaurant opens at 7pm. I got there around 6:45pm and there was a line wrapped around the block! Okay, fine. It must be good. Thankfully I got in fairly quickly as I was by myself.
I was debating if I wanted the margarita pizza but settled for the pesto pizza after looking and the reviews. Boy, I'm glad I did! I gobbled it up so fast, and with the coke, it went down really smoothly. I ate the entire pizza. It was that good!
If you happen to be in Napoli, definitely go here! -

The reputation precedes itself.. we arrived 30 prior to open and the line had already started. And by line, I mean, the mosh pit of uncivilized pushing. If that's not something you are willing to deal with, you may as well pass.
Once inside, know what you want right away. I wish I'd studied the menu prior to going.
Alright, now the important part, the pizza! It's tasty, like.. very, very good. AND CHEAP. If you are willing to literally fight the crowds, I'd recommend you go for it! -

I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you have a few hours to kill standing around and it's really important for you to try all the old/traditional pizza spots in Naples.
No matter what time you arrive, if you arrive after opening, expect to wait at least an hour. We waited almost 2 hours on a Friday night, but waits are generally longer on Fridays. The biggest complaint is the system here. You have to push your way through the mob to get to the person writing names on a piece of paper. There are usually multiple sheets of paper, so you don't really know how far you are on the list. It definitely makes it worse that there are bars all around Sorbillo's, so the people waiting in the mob are buzzed, loud, and some roudy, which makes it harder to hear them announcing names or even to find your way to the front. We were waiting about 15 feet from the door, just slightly away from the mob, and they claimed to have called our name and seated someone. So also beware: people standing closeby will claim to be you and take your table. They have got to figure out a better system.
Now for the pizza, I thought it was just ok. Tried a couple options. I liked the crust (the outer, cooked part), but I wasn't impressed by the flavor of the sauce or the cheese. Compared to the other famous traditional place in Naples (whose sauce is so flavorful), Sorbillo's pizza just didnt' wow me. The environment, though, makes for a nicer place to sit. We were kind enough to be aware that there were people waiting for our table, so we didn't sit around for a long time, but there are some people who sat around chatting for a while when there was still a huge line outside. Definitely would not recommend for an intimate dinner or date night, but worth only if you want to check the box on your pizza bucket list. -

I honestly did not understand the hype of this place.... First of all, the line to get in when it opens is absolutely ridiculous and unorganized. You basically stand in a crowd outside and once the door opens, it's pretty much a mad dash to get inside. They definitely need to implement a more civil system. Anyways, I ordered the margherita pizza and was not blown away. Yes, it was good, but didn't live up to the accolades that Gino e sorbillo has received. I preferred Da Attilio over this, by far. Service was slow and not super friendly either. -

At first I was unsure about all the hype...thought this many reviews and reference on every travel guide must've made this place touristy. But the pizza crust and flavors did all the talking and proved me wrong. So soft, fresh and doughy- definitely was in pizza heaven (and I'm not even a fan of Margherita pizza- their specialty).
We got to the restaurant around 6:20 pm and there was already a line. Note this pizza place is located on top of an incline, across the street from a drinks place. Cheers to the reviewer before me for recommending aperol spritzers from across the street while waiting in line.
The service was great! Pizza came out pretty quickly and our server was very attentive. I gave 4 stars bc I wasn't a fan of the in and out concept. As a group was paying, the next folks standing in line outside were already ushered inside the restaurant to take their place. When you're this popular you have to do what you have to do
Highly recommend paying this inexpensive pizza spot a visit if you're in Naples and have about an hour to two hours to spare to experience the ultimate pizza goodness
